I am driving to York Pennsylvania a little bit after 7:00 pm. I just went to the gym, and am ready to refuel with some great food. Fiesta Mexico is my designation, and my mouth is watering as I think about the cheesy tacos, spicy salsa, and gooey burritos that I will taste.
I meet Maria who is the manager. Maria welcomes me and shows me to a booth. A waitress comes over and hands me a menu and chips and salsa. I explain to her that I want whatever she thinks is the most popular. She says the Nachos con Chorizo are a customer favorite. As for an entrée, I ask her about Jose’s Combo. Her eyes light up and she says that the combo is a great choice.
Chorizo means sausage in Spanish. The appetizer comes out in less than five minutes. I see the sausage, jalapenos, lettuce, sour cream, and cilantro. What a perfect post workout snack! I notice right away that there is a cheese sauce on the nachos. At first I just think it is melted cheese that all nachos usually have. The more that I taste, I realize that this cheese sauce is one of a kind. It has some spice to it and also taste great with the beef. I find myself scooping the cheese sauce off of every inch of the plate!
I order Jose’s Combo strictly on the picture in the menu. I do not read the description. The picture does enough justice for me. When the Combo is placed in front of me, it looks like I pulled the meal right out from the menu. On my plate I have two chicken taquitos Mexicanos, one chicken enchilada with onions and cheese sauce, a beef enchiladas with sauce, and one supreme taco. Oh, and of course rice. I immediately start breaking apart my beef enchilada. I dip it in the cheese sauce, grab some rice, scoop out some sour cream, and plant it into my mouth. Yes! Delicious! I repeat the process with the chicken enchilada. The cheese sauce is the best. I go back and forth between the chicken and the beef enchiladas. I sit back and access what I have eaten. It looks like I didn’t even start yet. I pick up one of the chicken taquitos Mexicanos which is in four separate pieces. I take a crunchy bite. Not what I was expecting! A whole new experience of flavor. Fantastic! I keep crunching away and then I go back to my nachos. I occasionally return to the salsa and rice to keep the flavorful bites in my mouth but still allowing me to take a break.
The waitress refills my water and checks in on me. I tell her the food is wonderful, and I don’t want to stop eating. I sit back and look around the restaurant. People are coming in and out of the restaurant, one couple is on a date to my left, and a family of three is sitting across from me enjoying enchiladas and chips and salsa. I am still taking a break from my Mexican food coma I gave myself, when I notice the music playing. Catchy songs all in Spanish. I start dancing a little in my booth. It is a true fiesta in Fiesta Mexico!
I ask the waitress if I could box up my leftovers. I think about how great it will be to relive my Mexican experience tomorrow at work when I have lunch. I start packing up my things and then the waitress asks if I want dessert. I shouldn’t. I am so full.
If you are ever having a bad day, go to Fiesta Mexico and order the Churros. Here is why. These magnificent churros sat in front of me drizzled with chocolate and sprinkles. Beautiful, multi-colored sprinkles! That’s not all, folks. The brown sugar churros also had a dipping sauce. CHOCHOLATE DIPPING SAUCE! I could not stop smiling as I was eating the delicious dessert. Absolutely fabulous! I thought for a quick moment about saving some for later, but I just couldn’t. I ate all of it, and all of the dipping sauce.
Go to Fiesta Mexico and your day will instantly be better.
Sometimes leaving the house isn’t what you want to do when you are having a bad day. So good news! You can order catering through Fiesta Mexico! Some options for catering are what I was able to order at the restaurant including chicken or beef enchiladas or the the build your own taco bar that includes shells, taco meat, lettuce and cheese. Of course I don't want to forget the chips and salsa. Chicken or Beef Fajitas are another great option. There are tons of options. So for your next party, remember that Fiesta Mexico can provide for your hungry guests.
